For an example see this page for a description of what the Sonar 8.5 Studio lacks as far as the Producer exclusives: You can research the Cakewalk edition releases in the press release archives, where the edition differences are often discussed. It is not intended to take into account the plugins supplied with lighter editions of the DAW, or the 32-bit variety. The spreadsheet referenced in this thread assumes the baseline of 64-bit plugins supplied with the Producer or Platinum versions of Sonar only. That is an interesting thought for those that had lighter versions of Sonar most recently, and a bit of incentive to at least give CbB a try if they had an old Producer edition lying around. Learn more about all the new features in Band-in-a-Box® 2022 for Windows.CbB should load anything that was installed with 64bit version of SONAR because it appears to plug-ins as current top-of-the line version of SONAR. We've added 100 new RealStyles more to our XPro Styles collection with the just-released XPro Styles PAK 2! Guess I'll head to the forum and check the feedback. I love the program and want them to be prosperous but I can't imagine any determining criteria to make me upgrade again. That new monthly membership fee may be part of the equation but that's a guess. I can't imagine the pressure of generating enough revenue each year to have staying power in such a competitive market.especially since Reaper and a couple others (I think) have entered the market in the last 4-5 years or so. It's different of course for those purchasing there first version. If one is rolling in green I guess it's a none issue. I've wondered over the last few years how much more can be offered to justify long time users to keep upgrading each time. X3 does more than I need and there's still a lot it offers that I haven't delved into. Now, I just don't see any reason anymore. I only went to X3 when they lowered the upgrade price from 149$ to 99$.
I grew up with Cakewalk since version 3.0 and have all subsequent versions except for 2 or 3 versions.
